COURSE DESCRIPTION

This qualification provides for aspiring chefs, sous chefs, chefs de cuisine, and executive chefs the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to lead, supervise and manage foodservice workers. It examines all aspects of training as it affects the chef supervisor; and providing practical, step-by-step discussions on crucial management skills and functions involving a chef supervisor. This course fulfills a need as chefs move from being culinarians to managers, supervisors, and trainers in the world of total quality management. It identifies those key areas that will lead qualified individuals into the chef positions of the future, and provides reasonable solutions to situations that typically evolve from them.​

QUALIFICATION
Internationally accredited Certificate through Highfield Qualifications.​

Conducted on- site and off-site

LEARNING PATH​
Once this qualification is obtained you may proceed to enroll for a Diploma in Hospitality​

COURSE CONTENT INCLUDES​
Principles of Food Safety Management, Workplace Health & Safety, Principles of HACCP, Resource Management, Financial Planning & Cost Control, Environmental Awareness & Sustainability, Food Production Supervision, Gastronomy and Global Cuisines.​

  • This course is intended for anyone interested in learning the fundamentals as cooking, be it at home or at a professional level.
  • This course is aimed at beginners, no previous experience required.
