FOOD PREPARATION: APPLE CHILLI CHUTNEY

Recipe: Apple Chilli Chutney

Ingredients

  • 75g Water
  • 100g Onion, chopped
  • 3ea Garlic Cloves, chopped
  • 400g Granny smith Apples, brunoise
  • 12ea Red Chillies
  • 125g Vinegar
  • 300g Brown Sugar
  • 2ml Ground Cinnamon
  • 2ml Cayenne Pepper
  • 2ml Salt

 Method:

  1. Place all the ingredients in a pot and bring to the boil, making sure that all the sugar has dissolved before the mixture boils.
  2. Turn the heat down and then simmer the mixture until thick.
  3. Pour into the sterilized jars and leave upside down overnight.
  4. Use accordingly.
